I watched a attractive young lady holding court with 4 young men at the YMCA- they were all lifeguards. They were not doing their jobs but the young lady seemed to be enjoying the attention. They paid attention to none of the swimmers but were busy flirting with the young lady. When the aquatic supervisor showed up they all scattered back to their stations -each guy got an earful. When I got out, I walked up to the young lady and introduced myself and said, "I know you probably enjoyed their attention, but I want you to know that you have the power to help those guys be better men, to do the right thing and be better workers. Don't waste that opportunity- at least three other women will thank you." With a wink I walked off.
I use to think that knights in shining armor were made to rescue the fair maidens, but now I realize the fair maidens made the knights want to be better men.
